I was sort of shocked how nice this case is at the price point.

The Epic is a slider phone with a physical keyboard.. Most of the plastic/rubber cases that are made for it will either come loose, break, or otherwise impede your ability to slide the keyboard in and out. Some of them will actually hurt the slide mechanism and make it wobbly.. I bought two of them on Ebay for a few dollars.. Neither of them were usable. One had a little piece break off within minutes.. the other popped off every now and then when I used the keyboard slider…

But this case is a winner.. The Epic slides in easily and fits very snugly. If you have thoughts about putting on a hard rubber or plastic case and using it within this case, it’s probably not going to work. The fit doesn’t leave much room for adding anything that affects the size.

It has belt loops on the back and a solid clasp… I don’t bother looping it through my belt because the clasp clips onto my belt very firmly.. You could probably wrestle a tiger once this case is clipped on and I doubt it would come off.. It’s on to stay.. until you take it off. Also, when not working and wearing a belt.. it clips easily on to my Cargo pants or Levis at the beltline.. It has a very efficient magnetic lock when you drop the device in and close the cover. It comes out very easily as well.. They have cleverly left an open hole on the bottom of the case.. which allows us to reach down and push the case up and out with our fingertips.. into our palm. All of this is done one-handed and accomplished very easily..

I couldn’t recommend this little case more highly… It’s nearly perfect. Buy it for your Epic.

You’ve read the specs on the phone; the screen is nice, the touch works about expected, the OS is laid out logically, and it has a few goodies & apps tucked away so that you feel its more than a basic phone. It also works with AT&T with no problem.

Physically, the phone is light, smaller than it appears, and the battery seems to be fine, although I don’t talk a lot on my phone. The Camera works well in either landscape or portrait mode, and the camera app fast and works fine.

1) While the phone supports bluetooth, it only appears to support very basic profiles, so it doesn’t look like you can transfer pictures, addresses, and data with your computer which is a significant drawback
